Taking vitamins for your mental health is so important but there are so many vitamins out there. So I decided to share the best vitamins for your mental health all in one place. I have been on a mental health journey since after having my second child. I have been sharing it all along on my instagram and here on my blog. I have been on medication, off medication, on again, and off again. While I am a huge advocate for medication, I decided to stay off of medication since we plan on adding to our family and I don’t want to start a medication just to have to wean off it. After seeing a psychiatrist, I realized that it’s quite possible I am dealing with ADHD rather than GAD (general anxiety disorder) and depression.
When I was put on ADHD medication, most of my depression went away. As well as some of my anxiety and A LOT of other symptoms that I was struggling with every single day. This led me to researching all about ADHD and how I can better support myself. I came across vitamins that most individuals with ADHD or mental health issues like anxiety or depression are lacking.
Now that I have been on these medications for the past couple of months, I feel confident to make a blog post to share with others. I have seen a massive improvement with my mental health with taking the vitamins and currently not being on medication. Below is a list of vitamins that I am taking that have been supporting my mental health in wonderful ways and I hope it can help you, too!
Medical Disclaimer: I am not a medical expert or doctor just a mom sharing her mental health journey and what has helped me. So please check with your doctor first before adding any vitamins to your diet to ensure it is safe to do so.
