Comparison is the thief of joy. So are high expectations we or society place on ourselves. It’s easy to see moms who look like they have it all together especially on social media and think we are less than a good mom. Or even going on a grocery store in sweats and a mom bun when the mom right next to you has makeup and high heels on. Then that notorious mom guilt sets in.
We can feel like we don’t have it together and in return feel like a bad mom. But I’m here to let you know that no matter how perfect another mom looks on the outside, they are or have struggled too. How we look or how we have it together or not does not define our role in motherhood.
So write this on your mirror. Repeat these words to yourself daily. Because it’s true and you deserve to feel the truth rather than believe the lie that mom guilt is telling you.
